Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is a national nonprofit that helps veterans and service members who’ve been injured or impacted during their military service. They offer free programs focused on mental health, career counseling, benefits assistance, and building community connections. Here in Pensacola, WWP supports local warriors and their families through outreach events, peer support groups, and resource connections that help them heal, grow, and thrive right here at home. All contributions from the First City Chili Bowl will directly support WWP's efforts in the Pensacola Bay Area community.
The Pensacola-Cordova Rotary Club (a morning-chapter of the larger Rotary Club community) is a group of local business and civic leaders who focus on “service above self.” They passionately support many issues affecting the Pensacola Bay Area, including hunger, child abuse, human trafficking, and the environment. The club meets weekly on Thursday mornings at Gulf Coast Kids House and provides ongoing donations and service projects to local nonprofits throughout the year. The Foundation is the charitable arm that supports the idea of “doing good in the world” by taking donations and turning them into grants and programs that improve health, expand education, fight poverty, and build goodwill and peace.
